What can Shuichuan do for my serious health problems?
Zi Ran Qigong forms an important part of the ancient healing arts known as Traditional Chinese Medicine and is the style of Qigong used extensively in Chinese State hospitals and clinics for a variety of complaints and diseases.Traditional Chinese Medicine has no equivalent theory which can be compared to Western medical science. The entire empirical system (acupuncture, herbs, massage and Qigong) is based on the quality and flow of Qi. Western medicine has only recently acknowledged the existence of Qi and begun to value its functional and healing role, but the Chinese have used this knowledge for thousands of years.
If we accept the Chinese theory that our state of mind - as well as living our lives out of harmony with the natural flow - influences our health and life expectancy, then we must acknowledge that many of us need to change something within ourselves. This change can be accomplished with Shuichuan Zi Ran Qigong. When you practise Zi Ran Qigong, your mind and body relax, your breathing deepens and your blood pressure lowers and this has been proven by scientific testing in China.
The ancient Chinese said, "If you are ill, first find your centre, then you will be healed". The practice of Shuichuan will allow you to feel this centre from which arises the grounded sense of Inner Awareness or Inner Feeling free of the energy of the mind.
The healing benefits of Shuichuan largely depend upon the patient's belief, sincerity and ability to practise the Exercise regularly. The success of the treatment also depends on how advanced the condition is. In severe illnesses such as cancer, it is important to work with the treatment suggested by the patient's own medical doctor. Qigong can work with Western medical treatment such as chemotherapy rather than against it. Chemotherapy is an outer treatment for a particular disease whereas Shuichuan Zi Ran Qigong provides an Inner treatment which affects the patient's energy and mind. There is no reason why the two should not work together.
Support can be given via healing which is performed while the patient and practitioner are in different locations. This is known as distance or absent healing. It is equally effective when given from a different room or a different country. Additional help can also be given via a partner or care-giver who has Shuichuan, or through a treatment session provided by a Shuichuan teacher or practitioner.
